What is a Blog?

Blogs are simply a shortening of the term "Weblog". They are an interactive area where the blog owner can post an article or entry

What makes a Blog so special?

Blogs allow users/readers to participate with interactive features. Blog visitors can comment on articls, subscribe to RSS feed to have updates to your blog delivered to their computer, visitors can help spread your news or thoughts by forwarding your blog articles to their friends and blog directories where others will read the articles and pass them along to their friends!

What do I put on my blog?

Even if you feel you aren't a writer you can still have a vibrant blog, a useful blog for your clients or customers. Remember when you post something on your blog, it will be delivered to people who subscribe to the blog's RSS feed. Why not post new store hours, new product line, added services, a new class schedule, cancellations due to illness or snow days, announce great PR like appearances on TV or in print.

Why should I blog?

As discussed above, your blog gives you a way to communicate with those interested in your message and get your message out to others. Most importantly blogging builds content which helps people find you and your business in the search engines.

Will my blog look like my website?

Your blog can look very much like your website! I've worked with clients who already have a website and then decide to add a blog. A blog can be created that uses the colors, fonts, layout, and the logo from your website.
